Following the developments made as part of the project supported by the Foundation for Medical Research, TIMC laboratory (CNRS & UGA) has joined forces with TwinSight Medical and CHU Grenoble Alpes to create the OrthoSim Joint Laboratory.

This joint laboratory was launched in 2023. Its aim is to model and digitally simulate the musculoskeletal system, with the following cross-disciplinary objectives:

• Generating subject-specific models from medical data (medical images, 3D scans, etc.),
• The application of these models in clinical assistance, surgical planning and the design of medical devices,
• Evaluating these models by comparing them with clinical data,
• The development of algorithms to generate these models, including automatic learning (AI) algorithms.
