This project aims at proposing a method for modeling soft tissues that is compatible with an intra-operative use of the models. Our method should take into account large displacements while maintaining “interactive” computation times. It is based on a decomposition of the displacements between one rigid movement and pure deformations, and on an updating of the stiffness matrix in order to provide a better realism in the case of large deformations.
